Not going to lie, when I hear semiconductors or chips, I immediately revert back to 8th grade chemistry form, zoning out and hearing nothing but the Charlie Brown teacher humming.
I’ve always known they were important for tech, but more so in the abstract sense without appreciating just how difficult they are to make and how they’re responsible for driving competition, both between companies and even on the geopolitical scene. Think of this as a tech version of "Game of Thrones," but with chips instead of kingdoms, and unfortunately, not quite as many dragons.
